Description

Handmade Kozo washi paper with motifs of Japanese plum blossoms.

This exquisite washi paper features Japanese plum blossom motifs intricately crafted into a single sheet. The fibers of the paper mulberry tree (kozo) are expertly intertwined to create a cohesive and delicate washi paper, offering a unique floating sensation when held, that surpasses industrial watermarking and laser cutting techniques. The unique floating feeling of washi can be enjoyed to the fullest with this product, also because of its size.

The individual "flowers" can be carefully torn by hand and enjoyed as separate pieces, adding versatility to this beautiful creation.

This product is a collaborative project between WACCA PAPER and Ryozo Yanase Paper Mills in Echizen Washi, Fukui Prefecture.

Care & Maintenance

Due to the intricate characteristics of washi paper, please be careful not to let it get soaked or stained excessively. If it gets slightly wet, wipe it off gently with a towel and dry it in the shade so that it does not lose its shape. When writing on it, please test your writing instrument before use. For cleaning, we recommend using a soft, cloth to dust off. If wiping with water is necessary, use a clean, soft towel moistened with water. Lightly wring it out and gently stroke or pat the dirt away without applying friction. Allow it to air dry naturally.

We want to induce the uplifting feeling to you, of when you encounter someone or something truly special.
