New All-purpose Knife

EDIT JAPAN

If you have one in your home, you can use it for everything! The "Ai Kitchen Knife New All-purpose Kitchen Knife 18cm" is a more modern update of this knife. The Santoku knife, a standard all-purpose kitchen knife for home use, has been redesigned to be more stylish. The streamlined form is beautifully crafted by narrowing the blade width. The most common customer feedback we have received in our surveys was "Gyuto 21cm is too long" and "I want something more stylish than Santoku". We then examined internally, "What kind of knife would be most convenient to use?" and decided to launch "Ai Kitchen Knife, New All-purpose Kitchen Knife 18cm", which has both excellent points of Santoku knife and Gyuto knife. By making the width of the blade a little slimmer, it is difficult for the blade to remain on the food. It is easy to move from one action to the next, so it is easy to maneuver and easy to handle. While slim, it retains the all-purpose form that makes it easy to cut anything. It is one that is both visually appealing and easy to use.

We recommend to buy it together with its corresponding sheath (sold separately).

Description

The Damascus pattern created by 16 layers of steel and the hammered pattern created by a craftsman's hammer are the distinctive features of this piece . This steel material has a good balance of sharpness, softness, and rust resistance. It is the No. 1 popular steel material for ai knives, pleasing to the eye in daily cooking and making its presence felt at home parties and outdoors.

Indigo (Ai) dyeing has supported our lives because of its antibacterial and deodorizing properties. The "Ai Kitchen Knife" was created with both functionality and visual appeal by incorporating this technology. This product is a cross between Sakai cutlery, which is a tradition in Osaka, and indigo dyeing, which is rooted in the history of Tokushima. Craftsman collaboration" by craftsmen from different regions and with different techniques aims to increase added value by combining the value of each technique.

Ai knives are also a project that aims to revitalize traditional Japanese craftsmanship by bringing benefits to multiple production areas through a single product. We hope you will enjoy this collaboration of craftsmanship.
